The PLM / CAD Specialist plays a crucial role within the organization, focusing on supporting and enhancing efficiency in product lifecycle management and CAD operations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Administer and optimize the PLM environment
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate CAD data into PLM systems effectively
  • Develop and manage CAD standards and best practices
  • Conduct training sessions for team members on PLM and CAD systems
  • Support engineering teams in utilizing PLM and CAD tools to streamline workflows and enhance productivity
  • Assist with data management and ensure data integrity across all systems
  • Monitor and report on PLM and CAD performance metrics
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to facilitate integration of PLM with ERP and other business systems

Experience And Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, NX) and PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter)
  • Experience in managing CAD models and data flows through PLM systems
  • Solid understanding of PLM/ALM-MES-ERP environment from the engineering perspective
  • A comprehensive understanding of ERP/MES/PLM concept and gain an appreciation of the link between mechanical system design and other domains like software developing, fuel cell systems, electrical etc
  • Experience in the aviation, powertrain, or PCB design projects
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
  • Ability to conduct training and support to team members on tools and processes
  • Experience in MBSE (Team for Capella, Amesim), CAS (MATLAB Simulink, MathCAD), CAE (Siemens Star-CCM+, Simcenter, Motor-Solve; Altair as an advantage);
  • Experience with ERP systems integration related to PLM processes is advantageous
  • Understanding of Industry 4.0 concept
  • Familiarity with Siemens Polarion, Opcenter, Teamcenter, Netsuite ERP as an advantage.

The wage scale or salary range for this position is $120,000-$180,000. In addition to the foregoing base compensation, additional compensation and benefits are available to employees and eligible family members (as applicable) including the following:

📈 Equity: Ability to exercise company stock options

👵🏽 Retirement: Eligible to participate in the company's 401(k) Plan, with up to a 4% matching

👩🏽‍⚕️ Health Insurance: Employer covers up to 80% of the employee's monthly premiums on medical, dental, and vision.

🧬 Life Insurance: Basic Life/AD&D of up to $50,000 and the option to add on Supplemental Coverage.

💫 Short-Term Disability: Up to 60% of your earnings for up to a period of 24 weeks.

🤒 Long-Term Disability: If your disability extends beyond 180 days, LTD Coverage for up to 60% of your earnings.

🏖️ Paid Time Off: Eligible employees may accrue up to 120 hours per year (15 days) and may borrow up to 40 hours (5 days).

🩺 Sick Time: Eligible employees may accrue up to 40 hours, per year (5 days)

🏖️ Paid Holidays: 12 observed holidays, per calendar year.

🛩️ The Fly Club: up to $2,000 of reimbursement towards flying lessons to all full-time staff
