I have always had passion for aviation and a drive to be more sustainable. Upon hearing ZeroAvia speak at an event I was attending in my previous role, I decided to follow them on LinkedIn and research the company to gain a better understanding. When a position opened up that was suitable to my skills, I decided that a career with the company leading the way into sustainable aviation was a place I wanted to be.
ZeroAvia has a culture where if you believe in the cause and are willing to put the work in to make it a reality, then you will ultimately be accepted as part of the family. Everyone from the CEO to graduates can communicate openly with everybody's opinion heard.
My role is to introduce airlines to the potential of zero emission aviation and manage that relationship to the point of them operating aircraft with the ZeroAvia product supplying the power.
With this being a fast-growing company and a field that is completely new to most, I have learned a lot about the technology from conversations and learning sessions with my colleagues in everything from how a hydrogen fuel cell works and what the fantastic engineers are doing to combat power density challenges.
The feeling of working for something that is more than a pay cheque, and the difference it can make to the world of aerospace.
I feel proud every time I introduce the potential of hydrogen to an airline, highlighting the track record of ZeroAvia's many accomplishments which are putting us on the right track to decarbonising commercial aviation.
