I was really interested in working for a company focussing on green technology/sustainability practices. The ZeroAvia graduate program was the perfect opportunity to learn about business strategy, marketing and finance, all areas that I was interested in understanding.
The culture at ZeroAvia centres around teamwork and communication. Collaboration is an extremely important part of the business strategy, and everyone is encouraged to share ideas and support each other. The sense of community is very strong and I feel extremely valued in my role.
I’m currently working within the business development team, specifically on pricing strategy and marketing. I am learning about financial modelling, aircraft performance and carrying out feasibility studies for different airlines. From this, we can then present our findings to the customer and build up a business evaluation and deal summary. The role involves helping to build up an attractive offering to a customer, so that we can set up large orders for our engines and PBH scheme to initially build revenue from the deposits.
ZeroAvia has an amazing approach to career development, by encouraging us to take control of our own learning. The HydroGen scheme covers a wide range of areas, so we not only get the chance to learn about the business, but also develop people skills and understand how to sell ourselves.
