Having a passion for aviation from a young age but also noticing how rapidly our climate is changing, ZeroAvia’s goal of achieving sustainable aviation has given me the ability to say “I’m doing something about it”. I am immensely proud and fortunate to be a small part of a team that is changing the world and the future of aviation as we know it.
‘Epic’ is what I would use if I needed to describe it in one word. So much diversity and energy, so many brilliant minds in one place and so much knowledge and experience you can access. It is definitely the place to be – every day is exciting.
As part of the procurement team, you get to know everything that is going on in the company and the project, you are in the middle of the engineering and installation process and assisting both on meeting the requirements. This makes the role very dynamic, but you also get to be involved in the process for every single part, even a small bolt.
ZeroAvia has provided me with the opportunity to further my career in procurement by acquiring CIPS qualification. There is also a massive focus on career progression and performance reviews which helps you put achievable goals in place and have a smooth progression process.
Hard to choose, there are so many pluses to be part of ZeroAvia, maybe the one I would consider the best is just to be part of the team that is changing the future of aviation, not everyone gets to be proud by what their company is doing.
The feeling I got when seeing the plane fly for the first time was definitely the proudest moment (and at the time of writing this, more of these moments are to come with an even greater and bigger impact).
